Weekend Feb 14th & 15th 4-Man NCGA Zone Qualifier

Hello there,   Welcome to the February 14th & 15th Weekend Tournament Registration!   This is the registration for the AHGC NCGA Zone Qualifier.  This is a 2-person best ball tournament over two days.  You must play both days to be eligible to qualify. The lowest two 2-person best ball teams (using net scores) will advance to Monterey to play at Poppy Hills and Del Monte on April 6th and April 7th.   We will be playing from the COMBO tees for this event to closely represent the same yardage played in the Zone Championship.  We are charging a $10 qualifier fee if you want to qualify.  Please find a partner and both decide if you want to qualify. Handicaps will be determined from the February 1st, 2026, GHIN and AHGC Tournament Index reports, we will take the lower of the two. We are playing 85% of your handicap. For the teams that will be qualifying we will be capping the indexes to 18.4 for men and 25.4 for women (this cap will only be for qualifying determination). In order to qualify, both members of your team must have played in at least two AHGC tournaments in the past 12 months.   There will NOT be a Super Skins for this tournament.   FEES:   Greens Fee:  $110 ($55 x 2 days) Tournament Fee:  $25 Cart Rental:  $40 ($20 x 2 days) *optional* Gross Skins:  $10 ($5 x 2 days) *optional* Net Skins:  $10 ($5 x 2 days) *optional* Qualifier:  $10  *optional*   TEES:   Women play from the BLACK TEES Men play from the COMBO TEES   There will be two Flights for the AHGC tournament standings. However, all qualifiers will be in a flight together to determine who goes to Monterey and represents our club.   Thank you,   Steve "Moose" Reeder AHGC Weekend Tournament Director           ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ZONE CHAMPIONSHIP REGIONAL ZONE QUALIFYING: Regional Zone qualifying will play one round at Poppy Hills GC and one round at Del Monte GC. The dates for each Regional Zone rotate throughout the calendar on an annual basis. The top two teams from each Regional Zone will return August 24-25, 2026, for the championship at Bayonet and Black Horse golf courses.   ELIGIBILITY: NCGA regular member clubs only may send one team to their specified Regional Zone. Multi-members can only represent one club. Clubs may send a second team so long as one of the two teams is comprised of all female players. Players must have reached their 18th birthday on or before the first day of their regional Zone tournament, and have a numeric handicap index listed on their club’s master report on the date of registration.   FORMAT: Best two balls of four. Play will be 85% of the course handicap using a maximum handicap index of 18.4 for calculation (25.4 for women). All players with valid handicap indexes, including those of 18.5 or above, are eligible but men must play to a maximum current handicap index of 18.4 and women must play to a maximum current handicap index of 25.4.
