Net Series: Old Pal Four-Ball Season Long Match Play Qualifier

Belmont Country Club   REGISTRATION Opens: Wednesday, May 10, 7:00 a.m. Closes: Wednesday, May 24, 11:59 p.m.   Waiting List In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player(s) on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players/teams are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system.   ENTRY FEE Option #1 - $230: Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, & gift certificates.   Option #2 - $310: Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, gift certificates AND season long match play fee.   NOTE: Teams registering for Option #2 are opting in to attempt to qualify for season long match play.   REFUND POLICY Players will have up to 3 days (72 hours) AFTER the registration closing date to request a refund and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee, regardless of reason. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received after 3 days (72 hours) after the registration closing date.   POLICIES NOGA Hard Card Match Play Policy   ELIGIBILITY NOGA Tournament entries are open to any amateur golfer, male or female, holding an active NOGA/GHIN Handicap Index® at the time of registration and competition from an authorized NOGA member club. Entries are subject to the approval or rejection, at any time, by the NOGA tournament committee at its discretion. Players must be 19 years of age on or before the date of competition. Refer to NOGA Hard Card & Tournament Policies. CLICK HERE to see if your Club is listed.   SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Wednesday, May 31, 2023 - The practice area will open 1 hour before the first starting time. - Starting times will begin at 10 a.m. off #1 tee. - Please arrive to the first tee 10 minutes before your scheduled tee time ready to play. - Lunch will not be provided. Players can purchase food and drink at the halfway house.   FORMAT Net Four-Ball. Two players compete together as a side, each playing their own ball. The lower net score of the two players is the sides score for that hole. Per USGA recommendations, players will receive 85% of their course handicap. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and its decisions, by the NOGA Hard Card and the terms of competition. Rule 1.3B states that players are responsible for applying the rules to themselves.   MATCH PLAY After the Old Pal Qualifier is complete, the top TBD teams who registered for Option #2 will be seeded into brackets by NET score and will play matches against the other qualifying teams throughout the season. Each Net Four-Ball match played during the course of the season will be played at 90% of the player's full, current handicap as of the day of the match.   SEASON LONG MATCH PLAY DEADLINES All matches MUST be played before the dates below.  Round of 16: Sunday, June 18 Quarterfinals: Sunday, July 9 Semifinals: Sunday, July 30 Finals: Sunday, August 20   FIELD SIZE 30 Teams/60 Players. If the event is full, teams can still register and be placed on the Waiting List. Teams will NOT be charged until they have been moved from the Waiting List to the Tournament Roster.   YARDAGES Men (19-54) - 6,300 Yards Men (55-64) - 6,000 Yards Men (65+) - 5,800 Yards Women - 5,500 Yards   PAIRINGS & REQUESTS Pairings will be posted to NOGA.org and sent to players after registration closes. Groups with two teams from the same club will not be permitted to keep the competition fair.   GIFT CERTIFICATES During registration, players will choose the club/facility they wish to have gift certificate winnings sent to.
