Friday December 18th   Alternate Shot 2 Man Teams, $10.00 entry fee The "BLOCK" OPENS THURSDAY NOVEMBER 19th at 6:00am. You must call or go to the pro-shop at 6:00am to reserve a tee time for the "Block"     The "Block" is a group consecutive starting times that start at 7:39am and end at 11:06am for our tournaments. If you did not get a starting time in the "Block" you will need to go to the City of San Clemente's Tee-Time Reservation System to get a starting time. For Residents of San Clemente you will need to be online THURSDAY DECEMBER 10th at 6:00am. . Nonresidents can try for a starting time on Friday DECEMBER 11th. NO TEE TIME LATER THAN 11:33 am. Once you've made your own online reservation, please inform the Tournament Director by emailing: sanclementemensclub@gmail.com with the names of the members in your group and the starting time. Exchange scorecards with your fellow competitor.  First thing, before you tee off on the 1st hole, you and your partner decide who will tee off on odd numbered holes and who on even numbered holes. One of you tees off; your partner then hits the ball from where it landed, then you hit etc until the ball is in the hole. No matter who putts the last putt on a hole the player who has been chosen to hit from the next odd or even tee, hits the tee ball. Play from the WHITE TEES Put down one gross score per hole. If you have more than one, you're doing something wrong. If one of you hits a ball out of bounds or the ball is lost, the player who did not hit the lost or O.B. ball hits the next shot, whether a provisional or a shot after the penalty Rule 29-1 says that penalty strokes do not affect the order of play in alternate shot. Rule 29-3 says that in stroke play Alternate Shot, playing out of order results in the cancellation of the stroke and a penalty of two strokes, with the golfers required to replay the stroke.
