GGID will be used for all scoring. Sign up via Golf Genius for all tee times during the 3:30-6:00pm WNL Tee Block. Instructions for sign up are provided separately. Payment is required before teeing off. When you sign up, you should immediately Venmo $20 to @PiedmontMGA. Payment must be received before play. If you decide to play 18 holes, it is incumbent on you to get a tee time though the club, but you still need to register in GG for your GGID. Please use time slots after 6PM for 18-hole rounds only. WNL scores will always be posted as a 9-hole score. With the 2024 change to the Handicap System, 9-hole scores are no longer combined. Each 9-hole score will result in a derived 18-hole differential for handicap purposes. If you play an additional 9 holes, you must post that score separately. You must play all 18 and not the same 9 twice. Keep in mind, even though a gross double bogey is the max score, you should still post up to a "Net Double Bogey" for a hole as appropriate. No singles are allowed to play in WNL. You must play with at least one other MGA member. If signed up with less than 4, you also may be moved to another group. ALL BALLS MUST BE HOLED. NO GIMMES FROM ANY DISTANCE, NO EXCEPTIONS. FAILURE TO HOLE A PUTT RESULTS IN A DOUBLE BOGEY FOR THE HOLE. You are responsible for the correct score being entered in GGID, regardless of who is physically entering the scores. Your group should verify scores immediately after leaving the last green. Treat it as signing a scorecard. Scores shall not be adjusted following closeout. If an error is realized, please text Jim Thomas (WNL Commissioner) or Kurt Duesterdick, along with a member of your group, and the cause for correction. The ball will be played down unless otherwise communicated. Modified Stableford Scoring (Based on gross score) 5 Points for Eagle 3 Points for Birdie 2 Points for Par 1 Point for Bogey -1 Point for Double Bogey or worse Any issues with GGID, please keep a paper card as back up. WNL will be flighted this year during weekly play. We will split the field in half by players handicap, and you will fall into either Flight 1 or Flight 2. Weekly payouts for finish will be for each flight; however, skins will remain across the entire field. The field will be flighted weekly to increase payouts but will funnel into one year-long standings or leaderboard for qualification for the shootout. For 2026, we are bringing back the ability for members to play alternate sets of tees. Please notify Jim Thomas (or the pro shop) if you intend to play from the white tees or green tees or if your handicap changes and you need to revert to another set of tees.
