The new club’s founders included Governor (and soon to be President) William McKinley.   The original nine holes were created by two-time winner of the Open Championship, Willie Park Jr. The course members play today was created by another legendary Scotsman, Donald Ross. Ross built some of the greatest courses in the US including Pinehurst, Seminole, Inverness, and Oak Hill to name a few.   The historic century-old Clubhouse was designed by famed architect Guy Tilden and overlooks the beautiful 200-acre glacial lake.   The Congress Lake Club’ s membership proudly respects and honors its great history, but the Club is certainly not bound by it. The Club’s modern amenities and personalized service are completely relevant to the lifestyle of today’s sophisticated member.   Strackaline Thanks to a partnership with the Northern Ohio Golf Association, StrackaLine books can be purchased for a reduced price.
