CONNACHT BOYS’ AMATEUR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRY IS 02/06/2025 11:59 PM a) Age Group Boys (Under-18) as set out in Regulation 1 of the General Regulations b) Gender Male c) Handicap Eligibility Competitors must hold a Handicap Index of 7.0 or less at the time of entry. d) Eligibility See Regulation 1 of the General Regulations e) Size of Field 90 In addition, up to six Connacht (Home Club) eligible players who entered but do not qualify may be invited to play by the Regional Boys’ Under 18 Selection Committee, provided they are within 2.0 strokes of the ballot. f) Ballot Lowest Handicap Index at the close of entries. g) Form of Play Stroke Play h) No. of Rounds 54 holes of stroke play (one round of 18 holes on each day) i) Cut Shall be determined after 36 Holes. The number of players qualifying for the final round shall be established pro rata the ratio of Boys and Girls in the overall field at the start of Round 1, with the maximum number of players in the final round being 60 or those tying for those 60 places. j) Ties Ties for the Championship will be resolved by a sudden death playoff immediately after the final card is returned.
