LUNCH included with tournament registration! The RDGA Richard Wood Kickoff Two-Person Scramble features 18 holes of stroke play, with two-person teams competing in a scramble format. Each player must use his/her tee shot at least six times during the 18 holes. The team records one score on each hole as their team score. The event will feature SIX separate divisions: Men's Championship (Blue Tee, played at scratch), Men's Senior (Ages 55-plus, White Tee, with Gross and Net competitions), Men's Super Senior (Ages 65-plus, White Tee, with Gross and Net competitions), Men's Regular (White Tee, with Gross and Net competitions), Women's (Gold Tee - at 5,277 yards, with Gross and Net competitions) and Mixed (Men playing from the White Tees, Women playing from the Gold Tees). Junior players are eligible to participate in any flight except seniors. If you have any questions about registration - or the event - please call 585-292-5950, or email to: info@RDGA.org. With RDGA District Championship exemptions being given to the top two teams in the Men's Championship Division and the first place team in the Men's Senior Division (Gross Score results), this will be your opportunity to qualify for the 2026 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at Stafford Country Club! ABOUT: The RDGA Richard Wood Kickoff Two Person Scramble began as the RDGA Two Person Senior Best Ball in 2019, in part as a way to offer casual competition for senior RDGA Members, as well as a tribute to the late Richard Wood, a past RDGA President and long-time volunteer who passed away in 2013. Since 2023, we pay tribute to his memory and devotion to golf in Rochester each year by naming our season-opening Two Person Scramble in his honor. The RDGA Richard Wood Kickoff Scramble is open to ALL amateur golfers - men and women, seniors and juniors - with an active GHIN® Handicap Index® through a Rochester District Golf Association Member Club. If you've never played in an actual golf tournament before - or if you are a seasoned veteran - this is a fun way to enjoy the RDGA tournament experience!
