Starting times will be posted a couple days after registration closes.   Registration Dates Opens: Monday, August 4 @ 7:00 a.m. Closes: Monday, August 18 @ 11:59 p.m.   Format Modified Chapman. In Chapman or Pinehurst stroke play, two players play as partners, each partner plays from the teeing ground and plays the partner's ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and play that ball alternately to complete the hole.   All teams will compete against each other in one division with a net and gross component.   Divisions Net Division (19-54) Senior Division (55+) In order to play in the senior division both players need to be 55+.   Entry Fee $250/team: Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, & gift certificates.   Optional Skins Game $40/team optional skins will be collected via Venmo only on the day of the tournament. If no skins are won NOGA will go to the least tied holes. The only thing it can't be used toward are memberships or club fitting. Plus, there is no expiration date on these gift certificates, so the winners can use them whenever they wish! This prize will go a long way to creating a great day trip or fun evening out.   Field Size 100 Players (Subject to Change)   Waiting List In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player(s) on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players/teams are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system.   Tees and Yardages NOGA White - 6,200 Yards (Men 19-54) NOGA Green - 5,700 Yards (Men 55+) NOGA Yellow - 5,200 Yards (Women 19-49)   Eligibility Entries are open to any amateur golfer holding an active NOGA/GHIN Handicap Index® at the time of registration and competition from an authorized NOGA member club. Entries are subject to the approval or rejection, at any time, by the NOGA tournament committee at its discretion. Players must be 19 years of age on or before the date of competition. Click Here to see if your Club is listed.   Policies NOGA Hard Card Handicap Adjustment Policy NOGA Pace of Play Policy   Gender Policy The Northern Ohio Golf Association follows the USGA's Gender Policy.   Schedule of Events - The practice area will open one hour before the first tee time. - Starting times will begin at 8:00 a.m. - Please arrive at the first tee 10 minutes before your starting time ready to play. - Lunch will not be provided.   Ties In the event that there is a tie, NOGA will retain the tie, unless otherwise noted in the specific tournaments terms of competition.   Pairings and Requests Pairings will be posted to NOGA.org and sent to players after registration closes. If you would like to request a specific tee time, please contact Sean Croell at scroell@noga.org. Two teams from the same club will not be paired together to keep the competition fair.   Gift Certificates During registration, players will choose the club/facility they wish to have gift certificate winnings sent to. Please allow 2-3 weeks after the event for gift certificate winnings to arrive at the chosen club/facility.   Refund Policy Players will have up to 3 days (72 hours) AFTER the registration closing date to request a refund and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee, regardless of reason. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received after 3 days (72 hours) after the registration closing date.   The Course - Catawba Island Club Golf traditions at Catawba Island Club go back to the 1920s, when there was a nine-hole golf course associated with the Catawba Cliffs Community and the Catawba Cliffs Beach Club. Today, CIC offers an Arthur Hills designed golf course that is kept in pristine condition.
