Information for the 2026 WP Kelley 3 Day Member Guest. Dates are July 10-12, 2026. Gentlemen, Wanted to go over one thing with the handicapping for the event this weekend because I know there will be questions. This year, the tournament committee has decided to do away with 1/2 shots for the 9 hole matches. Each match will be full shot handicapped. What does that mean? It means that if your differential between the low guy in the grouping and your handicap happens to be an "odd" number, per the GHIN handicapping system, depending upon which 9 holes you are playing the match, you will receive either 1 more, or 1 less handicap stroke for that match. White/Blue Front 9 34.8 rating / 127 slope Back 9 34.7 rating / 115 slope Gold/Black Front 9 34.0 rating / 115 slope Back 9 32.4 rating / 115 slope So, in essence, since there are just "full" strokes, it really depends upon where the handicap holes fall in the match. And it really seems to affect just the "odd" handicaps at 85%. Wanted to go over a few things to make sure you know where to be this week: Schedule and Format: July 10 (Friday) 1pm shotgun start. Playing 2 nine hole matches July 11 (Sat) 830a shotgun start. Playing 3 nine hole matches July 12 (Sun) 830a shotgun start. Playing 2 nine hole matches. Each team will play each other team within the flight they fit into. Since there are 28 teams, 7 teams per flight, each round a team directly above your flight will play a team directly below your flight. And everyone will get that chance thorought the competition. This assures no byes and everyone continues to play. This is depicted on the rules sheet below. Playoffs will start after all scoring is in, flight winners are determined. There will be an overall champion! Shootout will happen with the Top 10 from the 2nd/7th hole (undecided yet), and it will take place a pre-determined spot on course. These matches are all subject to weather, hopefully we will not have any issues or delays this year. Tournament Fee: I will hold this confidential, as a member if you need to know please send me a message and I will let you know. Some don't want that information out! Cash Pool: $200 a team. Shootout: This is included in the tournament fee, all you need to do is try and get into the Top 10 Food: Friday: 1130a Lunch Saturday: 730a Continental Breakfast 130p-2p Lunch (between match 2 and 3) Sunday: 1p-130p Lunch (after matches) Three Day Member Guest 2026 From all of us at Brockton C.C. we welcome you this weekend. Thank you. -Brockton Country Club BOD- Starting in 2022, the annual Member Guest will become the WP Kelley Memorial 3 Day Member Guest. 28 teams consisting of 4 flights of 7 teams, blind drawn out at a date to be announced, to create fair, equal flights. 9-hole matches, where each team plays another in a round robin format. A total of 10 points per match (1pt per win, 1/2pt per tie, 0pt per loss) where a win of the match, team gets extra point. Flight winners will be one with most points at end of tournament per flight.
