Enter Here (Women's Close) Enter Here (Girls' Close)   Closing date for entries is Tuesday 24th June 2025  Official Practice Day is Monday 28th July (online booking for practice round will open following close of entries) AIG Irish Women's & Girls' Amateur Close Championship a) Age Group:   Irish Over-18 Women’s Amateur Close Championship – over 18 on 1st January 2025 Irish Girls Amateur Close Championship – under 18 on 1st January 2025 Irish Women’s Amateur Close Championship – all ages eligible  b) Gender: Female  c) Handicap Eligibility: Maximum Handicap Index of 18.0. A player off 18.1 or higher at the time of entry is not eligible.  d) Eligibility: See Regulation 1 of the General Regulations  e) Size of Field: 102, with the proviso that in the event the field is oversubscribed at least 45 players from each category are included in the field provided such entry numbers are received.  f) Ballot: Lowest Handicap Index at the close of entries  g) Form of Play: Stroke Play & Match Play  h) No. of Rounds: Days 1 & 2:   Irish Over-18 Women’s Amateur Close – one 18-hole round of stroke play each day, with the winner being crowned Irish Over-18 Women’s Amateur Close champion.   Irish Girls’ Amateur Close – one 18-hole round of stroke play each day, with the winner being crowned Irish Girls’ Amateur Close champion.    Days 3 & 4:  Irish Women’s Amateur Close Championship is contested over four rounds of match play (two rounds each day), by the players with the top 16 scores achieved on Day 1 and 2 in either of the Stroke Play Championships.   Irish Over-18 Women’s Amateur Plate will be contested over four rounds (two on each day) by the players with the 16 best scores in the Irish Women’s Amateur Close Championship who have not qualified for the Irish Women’s Amateur Close Championship.   Irish Girls’ Amateur Plate will be contested over four rounds (two on each day) by the players with the 16 best scores in the Irish Girls’ Amateur Close Championship who have not qualified for the Irish Women’s Amateur Close Championship.   In all cases, where a player occupies a qualifying position but withdraws prior to the publication of the draw for the match play competitions, her place will be allocated to the next best scoring available player.
