NOGA Net Four-Ball Championship

Starting times will be posted a couple days after registration closes.   Registration Dates This tournament is invite only.   Format This is an 18-hole Stroke Play NET only competition.   Two competitors play as partners, each playing his or her own ball while using handicap strokes. The lower Net score of the partners is the score for the team on that hole, thus taking the score of the better ball on each hole. It is the player's responsibility to know the holes at which handicap strokes are to be given or received. No partner changes can be made once a team qualifies for the Championship.   Divisions: Both players must fall within the designated age range. If partners are in different age divisions, the team will compete in the division of the younger player.   Regular Division (Ages 19-54) Senior Division (Ages 55+)    Entry Fee $250/Team: Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, & gift certificates.   Optional Skins Game $40/team optional skins will be collected via Venmo only on the day of the tournament. If no skins are won NOGA will go to the least tied holes. Players will Venmo @NOGA1917   Field Limited to 50 teams. The top 6 teams from each division of each Net Four-Ball Qualifier will qualify for this tournament.   If a player qualifies with more than one team, they must select one partner to compete with. The vacated championship position will be awarded to the next highest-finishing eligible team from the applicable qualifying event.     Waiting List In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player(s) on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players/teams are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system.   Tees and Yardages (Players will choose which tee they wish to play at registration) Click Here to view the hole by hole yardages. Yardages are subject to change based on the course and weather conditions on the day of the tournament.   Eligibility Teams may be made up of any two active NOGA Members (Amateurs Only) at least 19 years of age with a valid USGA Handicap Index® - Men and Women are welcome to participate.   Handicap Allowance Players will receive 85% of their handicap. An individual player`s index is based off the USGA Handicap Index effective 6 days prior to the event.   Policies NOGA Hard Card Handicap Adjustment Policy NOGA Pace of Play Policy   Gender Policy The Northern Ohio Golf Association follows the USGA's Gender Policy.   Schedule of Events - The practice area will open one hour before the first tee time. - Starting times will begin at 8:00 a.m. - Please arrive at the first tee 10 minutes before your starting time ready to play. - Lunch will not be provided.   Ties In the event that there is a tie, NOGA will retain the tie, unless otherwise noted in the specific tournaments terms of competition.   Pairings and Requests Pairings will be posted to NOGA.org and sent to players after registration closes. If you would like to request a specific tee time, please contact Sean Croell at scroell@noga.org. Two teams from the same club will not be paired together to keep the competition fair.   Gift Certificates During registration, players will choose the club/facility they wish to have gift certificate winnings sent to. Please allow 2-3 weeks after the event for gift certificate winnings to arrive at the chosen club/facility.   Refund Policy Players will have up to 3 days (72 hours) AFTER the registration closing date to request a refund and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee, regardless of reason. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received after 3 days (72 hours) after the registration closing date.   The Course - Firestone Country Club The Firestone Fazio Course (formerly known as the West Course) is a links-style course built in 1989 and redesigned by Tom Fazio Architects in 2021. A par 70 playing just under 7,000 yards from the back tees, the opening nine winds around the perimeter of the South Course, while the closing nine moves west and climbs in elevation. The Fazio Course is the current home of the Ohio Senior Open.   The Fazio Course features wide open undulating fairways and large, subtly breaking greens. Few trees restrict tee shots, though ample bunkers frame sightlines, demanding accuracy and distance control to stay out of the sand.
