Starting times will be posted a couple days after registration closes.   Registration Dates Opens: Tuesday, April 1 @ 7:00 a.m. Closes: Thursday, August 21 @ 11:59 p.m.   Format Scramble: A team consists of two players. Each player plays from the teeing area on each hole, one of the tee shots is selected and both players play their second shots from within one club length of that location, no closer to the hole, and in the same height of grass in the general area. The ball chosen may be marked and there is no order of play. Play continues in this manner until the ball is holed.   35% of Golfer A’s handicap (Lower handicap partner) and 15% of Golfer B’s handicap (Higher handicap partner) will be added together to calculate the team’s handicap for the round. If the difference in partner Playing Handicap is greater than 10 strokes, we will reduce the higher Playing Handicap so that the difference between partners Playing Handicap is 10 strokes.   Divisions All teams will compete in a gross and net division. Teams cannot win gift certificate credit in both divisions.   Flights Teams will be divided into flights based on the player on the team with the lowest handicap index. Partners must have handicaps within 10 strokes. (i.e. one player is a 17 and partner is a 5, the higher player will be adjusted to a 15) NOGA will adjust.   Entry Fee $250/team: Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, & gift certificates.   Field Size 100 Players (Subject to Change)   Waiting List In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player(s) on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players/teams are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system.   New This Year - Five Iron Golf Closest to the Pin Challenge Whoever hits the par-three tee shot closest on a select hole will be able to entertain friends or family for a fun trip to Five Iron Golf — at the Euclid Avenue downtown Cleveland location or at any location nationwide!   The $250 Five Iron gift certificate can be used for simulator time, food and beverages, club rentals, or lessons. The only thing it can't be used toward are memberships or club fitting. Plus, there is no expiration date on these gift certificates, so the winners can use them whenever they wish! This prize will go a long way to creating a great day trip or fun evening out.   Tees and Yardages  The set of tee markers played will be based on the flight of play.   Eligibility Entries are open to any amateur golfer holding an active NOGA/GHIN Handicap Index® at the time of registration and competition from an authorized NOGA member club. Entries are subject to the approval or rejection, at any time, by the NOGA tournament committee at its discretion. Players must be 19 years of age on or before the date of competition. Click Here to see if your Club is listed.   Policies NOGA Hard Card NOGA Pace of Play Policy   Gender Policy The Northern Ohio Golf Association follows the USGA's Gender Policy.   Schedule of Events - The practice area will open one hour before the first tee time. - Starting times will begin at 10:00 a.m. - Please arrive at the first tee 10 minutes before your starting time ready to play. - Lunch will not be provided.   Ties In the event that there is a tie, NOGA will retain the tie, unless otherwise noted in the specific tournaments terms of competition.   Pairings and Requests Pairings will be posted to NOGA.org and sent to players after registration closes. If you would like to request a specific tee time, please contact Sean Croell at scroell@noga.org. Two teams from the same club will not be paired together to keep the competition fair.   Gift Certificates During registration, players will choose the club/facility they wish to have gift certificate winnings sent to. Please allow 2-3 weeks after the event for gift certificate winnings to arrive at the chosen club/facility.   Refund Policy Players will have up to 3 days (72 hours) AFTER the registration closing date to request a refund and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee, regardless of reason.
