WSGA Winter Championship

    Event: WSGA Winter Championship Dates: March 9th & 10th - 8:00 AM Shotgun Start Location: Angel Park Golf Club (Mountain/Palm)   Tournament Format Format: 36-Hole, Doubles (Scramble) Gross & Net Teams: Two-players compete for one team score.  Handicap: Based on USGA guidelines, applied at 35% A/ 15% B Skins/Deuces: $50 per player for both days (Skins - Flighted/Deuces - Field)   Rules & Regulations An important update has been made to event eligibility: only one player per team is required to be a current WSGA member. This makes the Winter Championship a great opportunity to bring a friend, spouse, or guest and introduce them to the WSGA. Registration is open, and spots are limited. USGA Rules of Golf govern all play, except where modified by local rules. Local Rules: Provided by Angel Park Golf Club and announced before play. Ties: Tiebreaker decided USGA Recommend (Last 9, 6, 3, 1) Pace of Play: Expected to maintain a steady pace; slow play penalties may be enforced. Tees: Flighted divisions with designated tee placements. Flight 1 - Men / Championship (Blue) Flight 2 - Men / Resort (White) Flight 1 & 2 - Mixed / Men /Resort (White) - Women / Forward (Red)   Tournament Schedule Monday, March 9th 7:00 AM – Check-in & Warm-Up 7:30 AM - Breakfast Burritos 7:45 AM – Player Announcements 8:00 AM – Shotgun Start (Round 1) 1:30 PM – Post-Round Scoring 1:30 PM - Putting Contest  Tuesday, March 10th 7:00 AM – Warm-Up 7:30 AM - Breakfast Burritos 8:00 AM – Shotgun Start (Round 2) 1:30 PM – Post-Round Scoring & Awards Ceremony   Additional Information Practice Rounds: Available prior to the event at a discounted rate (contact Angel Park Golf Club - 90 days out). Prizes: Gift cards, and recognition for top finishers. Dress Code: Collared shirts required; no denim. Caddies & Spectators: Allowed but must follow course rules.
