Starting Times Pairings will be made by NOGA after the close of entries, and players will be notified of their starting times by e-mail no more than 72 hours before the tournament. Registration Dates Opens: Monday, April 6 @ 7:00 a.m. Closes: Monday, April 20 @ 11:59 p.m. Eligibility Entries are open to any amateur golfer holding an active NOGA/GHIN Handicap Index® of 5.4 or lower at the time of registration and competition from an authorized NOGA member club. Entries are subject to the approval or rejection, at any time, by the NOGA tournament committee at its discretion. Players must be 19 years of age on or before the date of competition. Handicap Limit All Scratch Series tournaments are open to players with a handicap index of 5.4 or lower. Format 18 holes of individual stroke play. Each player competes playing their own ball. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and its decisions, by the NOGA Hard Card and the terms of competition. Rule 1.3B states that players are responsible for applying the rules to themselves. Entry Fee Championship, Senior, and Super Senior Divisions Tournament Only: $125: Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, & gift certificates. Championship, Senior, and Super Senior Divisions Tournament and Season Long Match Play: $165: Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, gift certificates and match play fee. Optional Skins Game $20/player optional skins will be collected via Venmo only on the day of the tournament. If no skins are won NOGA will go to the least tied holes. Players will Venmo @NOGA1917 Field Size 78 Players Max Waiting List In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player(s) on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players/teams are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system. Divisions Championship Division (Ages 19 - 54) Senior Division (Ages 55-64) Super Senior Division (Ages 65+) New This Year: A Super Senior Division has been added for players 65 years or older. Yardages are subject to change on the day of the tournament due to course and weather conditions. Season Long Match Play After the qualifier is complete, the top TBD players who opted in and qualified for season long match play will be placed into a bracket and will play matches throughout the summer. Match Play Deadlines - No extensions will be granted for any reason. If the match is not played by the deadline the result of the match will go to a coin flip in order to not shorten the next round of matches. Round of 64 - Sunday, May 24 Round of 32 - Sunday, June 14 Round of 16 - Sunday, July 5 Quarterfinals - Sunday, July 26 Semifinals - Sunday, August 16 Finals - Sunday, September 6 Ties In the event that there is a tie, NOGA will retain the tie, unless otherwise noted in the specific tournaments terms of competition. Pairings and Requests Pairings will be posted to NOGA.org and sent to players after registration closes. If you would like to request a specific tee time, please contact Sean Croell at scroell@noga.org. Players all from the same club will not be paired together to keep the competition fair. Gift Certificates During registration, players will choose the club/facility they wish to have gift certificate winnings sent to. Please allow 2-3 weeks after the event for gift certificate winnings to arrive at the chosen club/facility. Refund Policy Players will have up to 3 days (72 hours) AFTER the registration closing date to request a refund and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee, regardless of reason. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received after 3 days (72 hours) after the registration closing date.
