28th Women's Ohio Senior Amateur Championship

Fairlawn Country Club   Entry Procedure All registration will open on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 @ 7:00 a.m. and will be online through Golf Genius. Once registration opens, a "Register For This Event" button will appear on the top right of this page. Players can click on that button to register for the tournament.   Entry Fee $300 for all players.   Entry Deadline Registration will close one week before the tournament on Monday, July 27.   Player Profile In order to register for a tournament, each player must have a Golf Genius Player Profile created. Starting times will be available a couple days after registration closes.   Format 36-holes of individual stroke play.   Divisions There will be 3 divisions.   The Senior Division Played from roughly 5,400 yards, players in this division will compete for the title of 28th Women's Ohio State Senior Amateur Champion.   The Super Senior Division This division will include players who are 70 years old or older. Played from roughly 5,000 yards, this division will compete for the title of 28th Women's Ohio State Super Senior Champion. Players in the Super Senior Division may also compete in the Senior Division from the Senior tees but may not win prize money in both divisions.   The Whitacre Division This division is for players who are looking for a division with less competition from a shorter set of tees but who would still like to play in the tournament. Players in this division will only compete in this division and will play from a yardage of roughly 4,700 yards.   Field Click Here to view the field. The field will be limited to 80 players.   Entry Entries will be first come, first serve. If the field is full before the closing date, entrants will be placed on the waiting list.    Waiting List In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system.   Eligibility Invitations are extended to female amateur golfers who are a resident of Ohio and have a current Handicap Index® not exceeding 25.0. WOSGA reserves the right to reject any entry.   Age The player must have reached their 50th birthday by Monday, August 3rd.    Yardages Click Here to view the hole by hole yardages for the tournament.   Code of Conduct WOSGA may reject an entry application, revoke an accepted application, expel from the Championship, and/or suspend a player from future championships is the player engages in conduct detrimental to the integrity and image of the game of golf and/or Club or member confidence in WOSGA. Such behavior may include, but is not limited to, damage to the golf course or the player's equipment, verbal or physical abuse to players., spectators, officials, volunteers, or staff, blatant or excessive profanity, disorderly behavior, failure to abide by club rules, violation of the WOSGA's Sportsmanship Policy or any other unbecoming conduct. See WOSGA Conditions of Competition and Local Rules, effective January 1, 2026.   Pace of Play Policy   Gender Policy The WOSGA follows the USGA’s Gender Policy.   Completion of Play The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the Championship trophy has been presented.   Withdraw Players must contact the NOGA Director of Rules and Competitions Sean Croell (scroell@noga.org or 440-686-1070 ext.215) to withdraw from the Championship. After the start of the Championship, a player must notify an official if they are withdrawing before leaving the course.   Refund Policy Players will have up to 3 days (72 hours) AFTER the registration closing date to request a refund and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee, regardless of reason. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received after 3 days (72 hours) after the registration closing date.   Schedule The competition is a 36-hole stroke play event.   Sunday, August 2- Practice Rounds starting at 1:00 P.M. from #1 tee Monday, August 3- 18 holes, Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. Player dinner in the evening.   Tuesday, August 4- 18 holes, shotgun beginning at 9:00 A.M. Awards lunch to follow the round.   Acceptance Into The Championship WOSGA may reject, at their discretion, an entry application, revoke an accepted application, expel from the Championship, or suspend a player from future championships for any reason including, improper withdrawal from the Championship, failure to provide requested information such as proof of your state of residency or club affiliation, or unbecoming conduct. See WOSGA Conditions of Competition and Local Rules, effective January 1, 2024. All entries are subject to acceptance by WOSGA. WOSGA may reject an entry without reason and shall not be required by the applicant to provide a cause. WOSGA reserves the right to modify field size at any time and select players based on GHIN Handicap Index®.   Player's Dinner; Closing Luncheon The WOSGA invites all contestants to a reception and dinner on Monday, August 3rd. Social Hour with a cash bar begins at 6:00 P.M., followed by dinner at 7:00 P.M. The Closing Luncheon is held immediately following play on Tuesday, August 4th. Prizes will be awarded at the closing luncheon. Contestants are guests of the WOSGA. Guests may attend the Player’s Dinner for a fee of $55/person. Players with guests should contact Sean Croell, NOGA Director of Rules and Competitions at scroell@noga.org or 440-686-1070 ext. 215. before entries close to provide guests’ names and arrange for payment.   Prizes The following prizes will be awarded based on gross scores: The top 3 spots in each division will get pro shop credit. Players may not double dip if they are playing in both the Senior and Super Senior Divisions.   Rules of Golf; Conditions of Competition; Schedules; Decisions Play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and R&A Rules Limited. Questions will be settled by the Committee whose decision will be final. Click Here to view WOSGA's Conditions of Competition and Local Rules that are in effect. The WOSGA Executive Committee reserves the right to alter any of the Conditions, Local Rules, Provisions, and Schedules herein, available at www.wosga.org, or provided as supplemental information for the Championship.   Practice Privileges Practice rounds are available on Sunday, August 2, beginning after 1 p.m. Players can contact the pro shop at 330 -836-5541 to schedule a practice round tee time. Contestants living within a 60-mile radius of the course are encouraged to arrange a practice round before Sunday, August 2; All contestants must arrange their own practice rounds.   Dress Code Players shall abide by the host club's dress code. Failure to do so may result in a player's inability to be present on the property, which may lead to disqualification. WOSGA recommends shirts have a collar if there are no sleeves and sleeves if there is no collar. T-back tops are considered inappropriate golf attire. Leggings may be worn under skirts or skorts, but may not be worn alone.   Payment; Food Service Fairlawn Country Club will accept credit card for payment of food service and other goods not included in the entry fee.   Ties In case of a tie for the lowest score for the Championship, the winner shall be determined immediately by a sudden-death playoff*.
