DOS RIOS MEMBER-MEMBER-GUEST 2025

Dos Rios,   Our 2025 MEMBER-MEMBER-GUEST is at Kissing Tree Golf Club on November 8th & 9th.  We are limited to the first 48 players (24 teams) so GET SIGNED UP!!   You may play in this event with another Dos Rios member OR any non-Dos Rios member who has a valid and current GHIN Handicap.  If you have an out of town or out of state buddy, you want to golf with in a tourney – here is your chance.   FORMAT OF PLAY:   Many of you have played in Member-Guest tournaments around the USA and one of the most popular formats has flights of six,  2 Man teams playing 5, 9-hole matches (match play scoring) against all other teams in their flight.   This will be the format for this event.    If we get a full field, all players entering are guaranteed 45 holes of match play and a trip to the shootout.   Your starting hole in the shootout will be determined by your finish in your flight.   Teams will be flighted by handicaps.  If teammates handicaps are more than 6 strokes apart, the higher handicapper will be capped at the 6-stroke maximum.   Within your flight, each team plays five, nine-hole matches, 2-man best ball,  net scoring off the low handicap player in the match.  These matches will be played in round robin fashion against every other team in your flight.   Teams win points in each match based on the number of holes won with a bonus point being given to the winner of the match OR .5 point to each team if there is a tie after 9 holes.    These points are totaled over the five rounds to determine flight winners and order of play in the Sunday afternoon Shootout to determine the Member-Guest champion.   SCHEDULE OF PLAY:   SATURDAY the 9th – 27 holes 9:00am tee times start – two (2)  9-hole matches – each match against a different opponent.    The 3rd 9 hole match of the day will go off in tee times starting at ~2pm.    You will have time between round 2 and 3 to grab some lunch at Kissing Tree.   SUNDAY the 9th – Tee times starting at 8:30am  - two (2)  - 9-hole matches and then a shootout starting around 2:30pm starting on hole # 1.   You will have time after the 5th round to grab a bite to eat before the shootout.   VENUE AND GREEN FEE:   Kissing Tree Golf Club remains in fantastic shape.   The green fee for all rounds for non-Kissing Tree members will be $240.00 plus tax, to be paid on day 1.    DOS RIOS ENTRY FEE:   The fee to Dos Rios is $30 a player.   CALCUTTA AND PAYOUTS:   The payouts for flight money and shoot out money will come from a Calcutta held one evening the week before the event (date TBD).    The Calcutta money will be totaled up for each flight.  70% of each flights Calcutta money will stay within that flight and 30% of each flights Calcutta money will go to the Shoot Out money.    Within each flight, the flight winner will get 70% of the Calcutta money in the flight and 2nd place in the flight will get 30% of the Calcutta money in the flight.  So, the more monies bid within a flight, the more monies the top two teams will win.   No flight shares money with other flights on the 1st and 2nd place payouts.  We will have a minimum team bid, likely to be $300, but I will make a final decision when we see how many teams we have.   The Shoot Out money (30% of total Calcutta purse in all flights) will be divided among the teams in the shootout with the higher percentage payouts weighted heavily on the final three teams.   Please email me or call me if you have questions about this event.   KennyB     Ken Brazle Dos Rios Golf Club USGA/TGA Member Club 170 E.
