2026 - TMG

Talbot Men’s Golf  (TMG) is a Talbot Country Club men’s golf league open to all TCC male golfing members. We play on Tuesday and Friday mornings in assigned foursomes.  Generally, we play a 4 man team, net best ball competition, but will occasionally mix things up with 2 man teams, a scramble, or other formats. Prizes in the form of pro shop credits are awarded for team performance, low individual gross and net, skins, and sleeves of golf balls for closest to the pin contests. We have approximately 90 TMG members and typically have 6 or 7 foursomes playing on any given Tuesday or Friday.  Our season runs from mid-April through October. One of the elements of TMG that our participants like is the fact that this league doesn't require a season-long commitment of time;  you play on the days that your schedule  allows. If you just want to join us on Fridays, that's fine as well.  TMG participants pay a one-time fee of $50 at the beginning of the season and an $10 fee each day you play.   These fees go towards prizes and our season-long “Valliant Cup” competition.  Our official season kicks off on Tuesday, April 7th. More details about our season-long schedule will be posted below. 2 Better Balls of 4 In a four-player team format, the two lowest (best) gross or net scores per hole count toward the team's total, often using stroke play with handicaps.  1-2-3 Better Balls of 4 For a four-player team, count three best score on par 3s, two on par 4s, and one on par 5s per hole, typically using net scores.   Aggregate Stableford Teams sum all players' individual Stableford points (e.g., 2 for par, 3 for birdie) per round, often handicap-adjusted for fair play.   Net Aggregate Sum each player's net score (gross minus handicap) for the team's total, emphasizing overall performance in team events.   TMG is a low pressure, fun group with golfers of all skill levels.   If you are interested in joining us in 2026, or have questions, contact one of our co-chairs-   Dan McKew (dmckew0903@gmail.com), Rich Brusca (RBrusca123@gmail.com) or let the pro shop know you are interested. We hope to see you on the links!
